These are the first three poems I wrote or among the first poems I wrote. I now have about 50 poems, some are better and some are worse. I'm thinking of publishing them on Amazon. Honestly, would you pay for these poems? And the birds flew Friends Lost in anger Fighting over Silly things And the birds passed Stopped And picked their worms Some Saw the scene And wagered seeds Soon Blood was spilling Someone came Asked some questions And the birds flew ©January 25, 1970 F. I replied. “Happy, and happy to have met you.” She smiled. I thought this was a sign of friendship that would follow. My mistake! I still see her in dreams and illusions. © February 1, 1970 by F. D. Had no worries for he was far. He lived under a magic star. Then one day came a man, A funny thing in his hand. And the tree was no more, By the water, the ocean shore. Tranquility returned again. A crazy group of mini-men! They heard cries from across the sea. Didn’t think it was reality. They stuffed cotton in their ears. They enjoyed life, had no fears. Then one day came a man, A funny thing in his hand. And the men were no more. By the water, the ocean shore. © February 20, 1970 by F. D. (1hopefulman). All Rights Reserved.

Honestly i think you would make more money if you turn them into songs, convince a composer to put notes and hope that a famous singer sings it, just my opinion, it's just that poems have a limited market

So now I'm not only a poet but also a songwriter. Wow, I'm really talented.

@louievill Have you seen me singing a couple of songs I wrote on YouTube? (By the way, I have not monetized YouTube so make nothing there)

@1hopefulman yes you are talented, poems and songs are no different, just like the bards of olden times, they are story tellers too

Honestly...No. that's not saying they're bad by any means I just don't buy poetry. I buy books. People interested in poetry may well buy them but I'd suggest adding some extra content such as pictures or illustrations.

@1hopefulman I did poetry at A level at school and I've read some of the greats...still didn't like them with the exception of a couple of ww1 poets such as sassoon. To get a better idea you need some poetry fans to respond.

@Mike197602 Great! Let's see if anybody else responds? What time is it there? I haven't slept at all as I'm too excited by the millions I'm going to make with my poetry and books.
