I am trying to figure out the cause of my light bill going up. I wonder if what I was told about an empty freezer is true. I have nothing but ice in there will that cause the bill to go up. I know it's not much but i want it to go down not up. lol

When we use our hot water a lot ..our electricity bill goes up. Especially if we have visitors in our house. The oven also takes a great deal.

It could be the utility company change the rate as this often happens when there is less of demand for power.

Being full helps the freezer stay cold reducing the need for it to constantly kick on which uses electricity.

Is the freezer plugged in? You may want to unplug it?

The rates are on the increase. I don't think an empty freezer has anything to do with it.

I know here the fees went up a lot starting January 1st. Mine went up $10 this month. My friend has a seperate meter for the trailer. I usually try to unplug everything, and keep lights off. All I can think of is I have been home more so possible the cause
