This has not been observed in the past most people wearing face mask.I follow the trend. Our place is super dusty because of the road widening, worst is, they damaged the roads despite not damaged. I was told by a friend that our coming election here is the cause of road widening because when there is road widening, there is budget, so when there is budget, there is some millions to set aside making the road sick and people miserable. Face masks here are also getting weird for the sellers , the pharmacy, no longer sell by box or whole sale but retail.Per box before was only :165 pesos with 100 contents , but this time all in retail at 5 pesos each, just count the total cost almost triple. I bought 6 washable and colored face masks to save.Do you also have road widening in your country? Thanks for reading, Photo Credit: Facebook

I get fed up with construction when they don't clean up after themselves. They leave piles of dirt and then if it is to be cleaned up if it drys out they should wet it down before removing to keep the dust down. Speeds should be reduced too. When I was living in the countryside dirt roads were common and farmers can create a lot dust. They just blow it out their nose which can be kind of gross to watch.

@cacay1 I find the worst road work is when they have to change pipes underground. It takes forever. If they have to pave only it takes a while but they advance day by day. Pipe work is so complicated for them I guess.

@Bluedoll The issue here is road widening and no more space to widen. They are just making people's money to waste, but at least their pocket is full.

Face masks are great. We had to use them when cleaning out my mom's garage after she passed. We do have some construction and highway upgrades around here.

It is really better to be protected by a mask if we know that the road ahead will be so dusty .

@TheHorse I think it causes birth defects. It has now spread to Florida. All these diseases keep moving in. They thought only mosquitoes carried and now they found it can be transmitted through, er um contact of a specific nature.

@cacay1 Exactly. And I hear it's not deadly. Is it dangerous for unborn babies if mom gets it? I'm forgetting what the report on the radio said.

@The Horse, It is also advisable to wear face mask when there is an outbreak of a deadly disease like SARS before, Ebola Virus, now Zika Virus, but Z virus does not require a face mask but mosquito repellent and cleanliness.

In my city, we don't experience it. I think the widening of roads are evident in the provinces. I had seen some of the widening of the road when I had traveled going to Manila.

I guess politicians try everything in their book to ensure that they get back into power.. What a waste of financial and human resources to relay a road that is perfectly fine.

@sofssu, You are right we are wondering here why the politicians make a road widening when the area cannot anymore be widened. They are just trying to show they have done something without knowing people understood their purpose. Thanks .

@LadyDuck,,That is true, dust is dangerous. If I don't wear a face mask, my nose suffers a painful sore inside of it.It is my doctor's advise as best medicine to stop sore inside part of my nose.
