Thoughts on Iowa Republican Caucus-gate
February 4, 2016 11:37am CST
If you haven’t heard, there are some calling out Cruz for some underhanded politicking during the Iowa Caucus. Apparently, during the caucus, Cruz’s campaign sent out an email saying that Carson was dropping out of the race so Cruz’s supporters should get Carson’s supporters to be for Cruz. Everyone is saying this was a dirty trick played by Cruz, but my question is, Did anyone fall for it? I mean, if I supported Candidate X and some Candidate Y supporter came up to me and said that Candidate X had just confessed to child molestation, I would not take their word for it. For something major like that I would need third-party confirmation. So if Carson supporters did end up supporting Cruz, either they fell for, maybe not the oldest trick in the book but something from a few chapters later, or they were just looking for any excuse to dump Carson.

Why would an “excuse” be needed to NOT vote for Carson? Nothing is written in stone and no law says you can't change horses in the middle of the stream when deciding who to support. It's not final until it's final! On the other hand IF the message was sent out FOR the purpose of deceit and trickery and Cruz knew about it and approved of it, that's definitely unethical. I dare say it's unChristian. Nevertheless, it's trifling and not a priority at the moment. Iowa is out of the way. New Hampshire is out of the way. Let's just keep moving on along the campaign trail and not lose site of the goal. Some are gonna stand. Some are gonna fall by the wayside. Change came to America. Change will be leaving soon. It's time for a change again! P.S. I found this discussion because you shared the link of Tumblr. FYI.
