Do you ever go on a MyLot commenting rampage?

This morning, as I was sipping my first cup of coffee, I realized I had nothing I really wanted to write about. The weather is clear and cool. My speakers are coming along, and I may have a customer for one of the two pairs of KLH 17s I've been working on. My country band practiced last night. Woo hoo. I decided NOT to post anything, but to go on a commenting rampage. I visited as many posts as I could and left comments. I responded to a few on my own posts, but mostly I concentrated others' posts. Now, as I head into work, I'm giving in and writing this post. At work, I think I'll plant a few more seeds in Ground Squirrel Garden. So far, only the snow peas have come up there. I planted a a few "experimental" corn and sunflower seeds, but I think they're still sleeping. Our highs are only reaching the 50s these days. Do you ever force yourself NOT to post and go on a commenting rampage?

I post one post and than go on a commenting rampage and than go back later to my post and comment on the posts of everyone that responded to me.

That's my "normal" pattern too. Today, I decided to do it kind of backwards.

I think that's similar to my normal pattern. I usually visit a bit, then write a post, then visit some more, then come back a respond to comments on my post.

That is certainly true when some people who raise a discussion do not comment on responses.

@pgiblett When I comment on a post, I appreciate it when the writer comments on my comment.

I will comment to as many that have commented back to me, so I guess I do go one a commenting rampage. I also will respond to new discussions so that I can generate more notifications, comments and interaction.

I try to comment back to all comments on my posts, and then visit those who comment on my posts. But sometimes I know I fall behind.

No, pony! I learned my lesson about commenting on discussion topics here on myLot! Several things could happen if you go around talking to random people on this site! The first time I did something that crazy here, some guy ( @JolietJake ) talked to me and posted pictures of his cat (Scar) for me to admire! Then, some crazy woman ( @vandana7 ) started following me around making funny jokes and laughing at the jokes I made! Then, before I even could guess anything was happening, people started becoming my friends here on this site! It was terrible, TERRIBLE, I say! So, of course, I did the wrong thing and talked to someone else! Her name is/was @mommaj ! Talk about bad luck! To top all this craziness off, I woke up in a horse paddock one morning and a pony was standing beside me, and HE talked to me, too) I really think people should think twice before coming to this site and talking to random strangers here! It can have some very dire consequences in their life) They might end up making friends on this site by rampaging around commenting on random posts here!

Thanks for the compliment DE... I'd need to coin a word that describes you because webster's dictionary does not seem to have one..it does need to include shark somewhere...does Porridge know you forgot her? Let me call her here and have some fireworks...@Daljinder...see...he counted you as one of the saner varieties..how insulting can he get..

@DaddyEvil I completely agree. It's horrible to wake up and find all these people on your computer in your bedroom! How do they all fit? I even get to see a pony stop by once in a while. Nothing good can come out of talking to strangers. It's a good thing there's no strangers on here!

@TheHorse Really, pony? I haven't noticed too many people who comment more on other people's posts! Most people are content to write a post, comment on a few other threads and then comment to everyone who left a comment on their thread, then write another post. That seems to be the myLot way... (shrug!) I am curious who those people are, though! Does "avid" mean they avoid commenting? (Just curious!)

@sishy7 I don't believe that, at all, sishy! Why would it ever bother anyone if you just go around reading everything they write, but you NEVER leave your own opinion on any of the discussions? I am absolutely positive no one would call you out over doing that! Nor would anyone threaten to stop commenting if you didn't show up and write one word, ANY word on some discussion, somewhere, anywhere! so they could see your sweet little avatar once in a while! (You know, like what I have done once or possibly twice since I started on myLot!) I should probably hunt you down and say howdy on any new discussions you wrote since the last time I visited with you, Dearheart! (grinning at you!)

@DaddyEvil - you could've put that... Nah, sometimes I get carried away with my liking and some poor member would get tons of notifications of nothing but merely my likes... I don't mind when that happen to me, but I don't know, there are maybe others who are annoyed with that... See you around!

I can always find something to say on any post I come across. I may think it is a worthwhile comment, though, and you might think it is worthless... That is the difference in the way we perceive things.... Perceptions are highly individualized!

Well I did force myself not to post but 1) That was not here 2) I don't post discussions anyway but this was like chasing the extreme - not to write at all! All this because some strange person had made me see the things in perspective of earnings per post.... Here, I don't post anyway as I am always on commenting lines. Spree, ah no more.... used to do a lot of commenting. But changed circumstances have made me empty-headed so I come intermittently and chase a few selected people.

Yes, I know, @hora_fugit , and because you don't post, I was awakening a few of your threads from the previous myLot.... I guess you'd rather I not do that, either... I want to discuss things with you! How am I going to get to know you better If we don't interact, YOU? (sigh!) I guess that is my problem, not yours, isn't it? *Slightly exasperated, DE sits down and thinks about this situation for a little while... then decides to ask pony if he has any ideas... * pony? Have you talked with YOU very much? More importantly, for my aims, do you have any suggestions I could try in this case? The only thing I can think of is to go back to his old threads from the previous myLot and talk with him about whatever he chose to write about back then... I know YOU isn't necessarily the same person he was back then, but the threads are still extant and accessible... Do you have any other suggestion, @TheHorse ? I appreciate any suggestions you can think of, pony... Thank you in advance....

@Jessicalynnt I think I usually do a few notifications, then I write a post, then I get back to notifications and comments on my posts, and then I do a little "exploring." This morning I concentrated on commenting on others' posts, not my own.

@TheHorse yes. Sadly it is running rampant here in our small town. Everyday I hear of someone else that it has tethered to. Sometimes I am quite surprised when I hear of a particular person who is using it. Not sure why it surprises me though. Nobody is safe from it. Those that think they are, are in denial.
