I Did Not Forget

Today was the day to contact the dental office to make my appointment to get my dentures. I woke at 7:30 this morning, and waited until 8 to call. The message machine said they opened at 9. I read until 9. Made the call, got the we're closed message again. I hung up and redialed. I got a busy signal. Praise God for auto redial. I had my finger on the redial button for six minutes before I got a live person and yes, Praise God an appointment. I will be going to Milwaukee on February 16, so I will not be on much at all that day. I also called the transportation number and have it worked out as well for my trip to Milwaukee. There is no way this person who gets lost going around the block is going to attempt to travel to a city I know nothing about and try to find the address even with Google maps. I don't have GPS. So no doubt it will be late in the day before I'm on here. So I did not forget to call and it all worked out. I will soon have my dentures! I then went back to bed for another three hours since I was up early to make the call. Thanks for reading.

I'll have them in two weeks, I hope. I don't have anything except a few bottom teeth left. So I'll also have a complete smile back.

Surprising that you got to go out of town to get your dentures. I would thought Green Bay would be large enough to support this.

Green Bay and Brown County doesn't have any Medicaid Dental clinics. The only place I could go to have the initial work done was at the college. From there they gave me the referral for the dental clinic in Milwaukee.

It was a good idea to call a transportation, some dentists do not let you go and drive if they need to use anesthesia.

@LadyDuck All the teeth that were going to be pulled are pulled. Now it's time for dentures. I'm getting a full upper plate and a partial bottom.

It's not the anesthesia I worry about, it's getting lost. I don't expect anesthesia for dentures.

My local doctors surgery does online appointment bookings. It's fantastic. It's a shame more places don't offer something similar.
