Another Sunset Painting the Sky

I wasn't going to put up a second sunset post but how could I resist when I came upon this one? We don't often get such a red sunset. This is looking to the west (duh – Note to Self: sunsets are usually in the west) from our front verandah.

The red comes mostly when there are particles in the sky. Don't you often have dust in the air to break up the rays? I thought much of Australia is dry. Guess I'm wrong.

@JudyEv We have great sunsets when there is smog. You've heard of silver linings? At least smog is pretty at sunset. Mostly, however, our smog has improved greatly, and is not often a factor now.

It could well have been after a fire somewhere. Smoke travels a great distance and creates some amazing sunsets, particularly on the coast. Much of Australia is dry but not around the edges except in the north.

You're funny. That is a beautiful sunset, I can't recall seeing one that vivid here but I don't always have a good view of the sunsets.
