We don't talk like that....

One of the things that's happened over the past thirty years is the proliferation of 'patwa' a kind of pidgen English which is not really a stand alone language as so many of the words are mispronounced of jumbled English words mixed with the most recent slang. There are many of these scam health sites which advertise all over the place, and they always pop in your country and someone they think resembles you so as to give credance to crap. Take this ad for 'flat belly'. They claim they did studies in Kingston and quote a woman named; "Jennifer" who kept a blog and states, "I couldn't believe how easy it was. I didn't change my diet or my daily routine, but the fat melted off like it is butter. I love this stuff! Finally a diet that just works." Trust me...we don't talk like that ...we don't write like that. That is not our syntax. (I'm not giving an example, since the scammers might change their ad to make it sound as if they really contacted a Jennifer in Kington.) I wonder what the ad would read like in Kenya or the Phillipines.
