A Boy Who Lost His Dream

It seems that most of the thing I read is about death. So I will do the same thing and share the life story of my dearest bestfriend way back in primary school. Actually, I always call my bestfriend Mr. Newspaper. Since he delivers newspapers early in the morning, he is my wake up call buddy. I used to overslept in the morning. That’s the reason why I look up into him. In my class, he is also one of the best pupils in class. On the day of our graduation in my primary school, he graduated the second best in class. He was really one of the smartest and proud to be his bestfriend. When we are about to enter high school, I didn’t see him around and lately, I’ve noticed that he is not delivering newspapers at the usual time. Without the second thought, I went to his house and find out that he is admitted to the hospital. As an early age, I managed to see him in the hospital. As I entered his room, I felt the sadness from within. Her mother gave an ample time to talk to my bestfriend, and he suddenly cried while talking to each other. I was really puzzled and since it is not his personality. My friend has bad news and hold his breath while telling me the diagnosis. He was diagnosed to have leukemia or cancer of the blood. At first, I thought he will be fine after the hospitalization and eventually, his mother told me that only time can tell how long he will live. I am still in young at that time and cannot comprehend why. The last word that I heard from him, he wanted to be a doctor. I said, he will and need to recover fast. Months passed by, he died and I felt the pain losing my bestfriend. At a young age, I had experienced the unthinkable pain of losing someone. Time runs so fast and I suddenly remembered the happy thoughts that my bestfriend and I shared before. I know at this point of time, he is happy for what I am right now. I had changed my study habit and determined to aim high during school days. I always thought of him as my angel along the journey. As of now, I pictured him that he is a doctor and had reached his goal.
