Yesterday's Baby Shower

Yesterday, our daughter's two best friends threw her a baby shower for her upcoming birth. Our newest grandchild is due to arrive on the 23rd of this month, her name is Ariel. The shower was wonderful, Jenna got lots of good gifts and more clothes than this baby will ever wear! Of course, Jazzy was there and there were gifts for her too! I know that may not be the right thing to do, but she is spoiled by everyone in the family. I know some people say not to post personal pictures, but I have from time to time and I this is going to be another one of those times. This is a picture from the baby shower yesterday, Jenna, Jazzy and Colby. I am very happy for our daughter and her growing family! I'm very happy that I like the young man that she has for a husband and he treats both Jenna and Jazzy like queens! Ariel will be his first child and I am so excited for him! He is getting so nervous, I have to giggle at him sometimes. He has been a great step father to Jazzy and I know he will be a wonderful father for Ariel! When life is good, it's good! Thank you, Lord!

What a lovely photo Sheila - so she's just got a couple of weeks to go. I don't think there is anything wrong with personal pictures, I love to see them. All the best to the happy family.

@sgbrown I don't know what could possibly happen as a result of putting pictures online.

@jaboUK I don't either, but in the past I have had a couple of people warn me about it. Maybe they are just paranoid!

I love your photo, is beautiful. The habit of baby showers is so nice, people were surprised when I told we have nothing similar here. Customs and habits are different from country to country.

Thank you, @LaldyDuck I am surprised that you don't have baby showers there. Maybe that is a new "habit" you could start, at least within your family. It is very helpful to the new parents!

@sgbrown Parents receive gifts from friends and family AFTER the baby is born and this on the occasion of the Christening. I would not try to change this very old time tradition.

@LadyDuck I understand. I would not want anyone to change their old time tradition. I thought there was not anything given to the parents for the baby, but I understand now.

Thank you, @kevin1877uk She was very pleased and got lots of useful items for the baby. We had fun and ate lots of cake! Oh my gosh it was good, but not what I needed to eat!

Thank you, @sharon6345 Some people say they don't post personal pictures for safety reasons, but I don't know what can happen with just a picture and their first names....

@sgbrown There are worse things that can happen without a picture. I am paranoid enough without thinking about pictures.

That was fun.I regret not having a baby shower because my mom told not to. If I would have another child, (God willing) I will throw a baby shower. I hope your daughter to have a safe delivery.

Thank you so much, @n.J God willing, everything will go smoothly. Baby showers are fun and they help so much with the expense of a new baby. I hope you get to have another child and have a big baby shower!

I think he has a nightmare of changing diapers! Many young dads are doing their best to take good care of their babies, including the changing of diapers.

LOL @scheng1 I bet he does too! He has a strong "gag reflex", which means he throws up easily. I don't think he will be changing many "stinky" diapers!

Thank you, @JudyEV ! Jenna just cut about 5 inches off her hair a couple of weeks ago. That was her first hair cut, but it really needed it. I'm glad you enjoyed my photo, I certainly enjoyed sharing it with you!
