Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Its a day that some buy a gift or gifts for loved ones. Some go out for a special dinner or watch a romantic movie or take a gondola ride. My husband and I recently went to Las Vegas and did the gondola ride, as its to far for us to go on Sunday. If you have a chance to go anywhere there is a gondola ride available its a really perfect day. I bought chocolates for my husband and will make him a card. What are you doing and if not celebrating that day any other special events for you this month?

I'm spending the day with my boyfriend and not doing anything special since it's bowling league night. But Saturday were going to cook dinner for each other and just hang out and watch movies. I got him something but it hasn't been delivered yet so it will probably be late, I hope not.

Have fun bowling and that is one sport that I know where the ball rolls (gutter) for me. My husband enjoys playing and has his own ball. Enjoy the movies and dinner together.

We don't usually celebrate it... But today's my husband's day off. He surprised me with making me a small table I needed for my room. I know he's quite handy with DIY projects. But I never expected that he'd add a heart design on the table with "I Love You" hand-engraved in it... He's my Valentine every day!

@JudyEv Yes, I was genuinely surprised as I've known him forever and gotten used to the idea that he's not really a romantic type...

I love your post and I'll admit our gondola ride was my husband's suggestion, so he surprised me. Its really wonderful you will see the table every day and think of your husband.

Happy Birthday to your husband. I have always thought it would be wonderful to be born on a special day that so many people celebrate. Have a great time celebrating his birthday.

We generally get each other a card. Sometimes we will enjoy a special dinner at home

It was never celebrated when we were young so we don't celebrate it now. I think it is too commercialised. It is nice though to do something for each other if that is what you want.

I know its really commercial today and that is why home made cards are our special thing. I like seeing the different things people do that day.
