Happy Valentines Day

May I wish a Happy Valentines Day to all the lovely ladies here at Mylot.
I can never resist the opportunity to create a new avatar or image, so Valentines Day seemed an excellent opportunity.
As a general rule I would use either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Fireworks to create an avatar, but this one proved to be a little more demanding than most. In the end I used Adobe Photoshop along with Microsoft Word, plus a fair amount of editing and adjustments. This may seem rather laborious, but can be fun to do and very satisfying when I end up with the desired result.
I decided to save the result in two sizes so that one could be used as an avatar while the other appeared as a supporting image to the post. I even created a third example with added animated text, but chose not to use that one.

I downloaded the heart and the image of Cupid from the Internet. Then I simply resized them to match and overlay one on the the other.
I produced the banner scroll in Microsoft Word, overlaid it, recoloured and erased the overlapping lines.
All that was required then was to add a little text.

How sweet of you and what a lovely avatar too. I have never learnt how to use any of those programs. Doo you make avatars for others too or only got yourself?

Would the animated text one show up here? I know there are animated avatars but I've not seen an animated image here otherwise.
I know my way around paint (more so now that they've made it oh so very simple to use) but otherwise I am useless with photo editing software. I have a relative who is very good with making graphics but it is a very tedious task.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I was thinking more of the relevant size of displayed images in comments as opposed to discussion images.
For example, this animation would work as an avatar, but only if I resized the image to within 60 X 60 pixels, otherwise it would appear static.

@Asylum Theory tested. Apparently it worked. I don't know anything about HTML (or it's many variants) anymore, so would not know if a different script would be used for comment boxes.

Great avatar i love it. Thank you and I hope you had a lovely valentines day. I been sick all weekend with bronchitis but made the best of this day with my boyfriend as much as i could.

Do you remember the Ada smart Price Valentines cards that they produced some years ago? Apparently they sold out of stock in record time, so we are obviously not the only sarcastic people in England.
