A report from several National Basketball Association executives told a reporter of the Houston Chronicle on Monday the reports that Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard being traded to another team are "exploratory" in nature. The trade deadline for players in the National Basketball Association is on Thursday. Howard if he is traded to another team in the league would like to be traded either to the Miami Heat or the Atlanta Hawks. Howard can opt out of his current contract at the end of the 2015-16 basketball season. If the Rockets trade Howard to the Miami Heat they would like to get center Hassan Whiteside. If the Rockets decided to trade Howard to the Atlanta Hawks they would like to receive their center Al Horford who can become a free agent at the end of the 2015-16 basketball season. Since Howard is a native of Atlanta Georgia, he would like to play basketball for his hometown team the Atlanta Hawks. Howard has insisted he has not asked the Rockets to trade him to another basketball team but on the other side of the coin the Rockets have told him they could trade him before the trade deadline on Thursday. Time will tell if Howard will remain with the Rockets for the remainder of the current basketball season or will be wearing a basketball uniform or either the Hawks or Heat by the end of this week.

This is a major potential trade that really could be interesting. However, a Howard trade may be second in significance if the Cavs deal Love.

That could be true since the trade deadline is on Thursday.

@Deepizzaguy The hottest rumor is a three team trade in which Love goes to Boston, David Lee to New York and Carmelo Anthony to Cleveland. How would Melo change the landscape with the Cavs?
