I am off for six days!

Well it was really nice to have a lie in this morning. I did not wake up until 07:00. I felt like I had slept for weeks. This morning I went to the dentist to have a filling. He told me that the filling was quite near a nerve so once the anaesthetic wears off it might throb and hurt for a while. After about four hours I could feel the throbbing starting so without any delay I whacked it with some Paracetamol and some Ibuprofen. Thankfully this has eased the pain and discomfort. I came back home and did all the chores I needed to do then walked to the town and popped into the picture framing shop. I bought a wonderful hand made embroidered piece of cloth which was embroidered in Gold thread and semi precious jewels were encrusted onto it. The background is a crimson colour so the the gold and red colour looks great. I was torn between two types of border. One was like a bamboo kind of design which I though would look pretty cool but in the end I opted for a gold with touches of red in it which would match the piece of cloth. It should be ready by next Wednesday so I will take a photo of it and write a post about it. I am going to go to a shopping mall to buy a new lap top. My old one has become really clunky and slow and because it runs on Vista it is no longer going to be updated by Microsoft. It will not accept changing from Vista to windows ten so I shall transfer all my lectures and stuff I use for teachingI have on there to this new one. After that I am going to pop over to see some friends. They live about 50 miles away. Its not bad when you are on holiday from work I have the time to do it. So I am mixing business with plenty of pleasure for the next few days. My daughter and her family are going to visit tomorrow so I shall cook for them. My wife will be back next Monday so I will make sure the house is pretty clean by time she gets back! So all in all my six days are well planned out. I feel completely chilled out it is nice to be off and do what I want to do and when I want to.

@garymarsh6 Yes, she would surely be too tired after traveling.

Well I am making sure it is nice and tidy Anna. We are going out for dinner on Sunday as I should imagine she will be too tired after travelling.

Windows Vista was one of the very few Windows versions that I really disliked because it was resource demanding and a little unstable. I abandoned it within weeks of first installing it. It is also 8 or 9 years since it was being marketed packaged with laptops, so I assume that you laptop is dated by now.

Computers are much cheaper in the USA than they are here in the UK. I saved around $244.52 buying an Ipad in the USA rather than buying it here!

Yes Janet. It comes from Kashmir. It caught my eye and I could not resist it despite it being a tad on the expensive side but it was beautiful.

I have just come back from the dentist. I had root canal treatment. I think one of the nerves he pulled must have been attached to my big toe! I was there for two hours! Groan.

Glad you're getting some time off. I'll look forward to seeing your new 'picture' when the framing is done. Framing can be really expensive. Vince would quite like to have an exhibition of his photos at a local winery but the cost of framing is putting us off.

For what it is I was pretty pleased with the price. It is around £39 so that is fairly reasonable. Roughly 80 AUS Dollars.

@garymarsh6 Vince is now preparing a folio of his best photos. We might display them without frames for starters just to test the waters.
