Having an easier time making an appointment for myself than for my kids / myLot

I've tried calling several times my kids' doctors office. It's a doctors' office with several family doctors for kids. Whenever I've tried calling, I've never managed to get through. It's really odd. Thankfully, there is a way for me to make an appointment online, which at this point, I'm going to try. This morning, I figured I'd make an appointment for myself with my own doctor. Since they changed things last year, I thought I'd have to go on a waiting list for an appointment or something. However, I was surprised that they were able to give me an appointment for next week.

That is good news.Some take about two to three weeks.They say if you need a doctor fast go to the ER

Thankfully, we don't need one quickly, and if we did, a walk-in clinic and hospital are right at our doorstep. I just wanted to get check-ups for my kids and I. Last time, with my kids' doctors' office, I got appointment pretty quickly. I got one for my son the following week, and my girls the week after.

That's crazy the way thing are with doctors these days. I know, I have to make an appointment months in advance.

It doesn't always seem to make sense. I know in some cases, I've made appointments that were a couple of months away. Although for check-ups, it's not usually too bad in my case. I get it depends on the doctor and time of year.

@whiteream That does seem a while to wait for an appointment. I guess it all depends on how busy the doctor is and such.

@dodo19 It take about a month for a check-up at my son's doctor. I always thought that was long but, it didn't matter because I would know, when it ws time to set the appointment.

Well I hope you were able to get thru and can make your appointments. I can request an appointment online also for certain doctors of mine but not all of them.

Sometimes being able to do them online makes it easier. Honestly it's what I may try and do for my kids.

Perhaps some people have cancelled their appointments, and you call right after that. It is a hit and miss in many cases. I only know that December is a bad time for me to visit dentists in my country. Most people want to max out their dental allowance that their companies allow, so they wait till December to visit the dentist.

I can imagine that it's not easy to make dentists appointment during that time. Maybe I just got lucky with my doctor.
