Those we follow and those who are following us in myLot

We can delete those who we are following but we cannot delete those who are following us. I am told this we can only do by blocking them. I hardly delete anyone although I would be happy if those that followed me actually followed me. Do you block those who are inactive as far as you are concerned? In the 'Follows' tab do we see activity of both those who we follow and those who are following us?

@silvermist I often quote these lines but they are a bit different I think. The actual words you will find here We had performed on this while at school.
I / Half a league, half a league, / Half a league onward, / All in the valley of Death

@allknowing Yes,I see what you mean. '' Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die.''Those are the lines from the poem of Tennyson we had to study.

I do the same but deep down I do feel when they are nowhere to be seen but just follow me for the sake of following

@SIMPLYD When it comes to responses to my posts I hardly have any despite posting on different subjects. I no longer pine but just move on. I wonder what the community is looking for.

I have never ever blocked anyone. I'm ready to do it if they majorly make me but that's hardly ever the case. I "know" my friends, so I mostly never need to rely on the list for anything. If they are inactive, that's ok with me - I try to be open to all avenues - just in case.

@allknowing Ok, now THAT is BAD. Those PMs are mean to be private and that was not cool of that person to put it out there for all to see. Now THAT would be a big reason to block a person!!

@much2say Yes. That would be a good reason but you know something Many must have judged that user as overnight their posts are getting lesser and lesser attention Serves them right

I have blocked one who aired my message to them and totally misrepresented me. I did not even bother to seek clarification. I just blocked them. When a message is sent it is meant to be private and if there is any clalrification it has to be done there and not by publishing it to the community

Ha, ha, I guess by your standards I'm considered inactive these days. I do try and drop by here when I can.

I only delete my followers if they are inactive. I just block, then immediately unblock and that removes them from my list. (I did a post about it a while ago). We only see the activity of those we are following.

@allknowing You meant a comment on that post of mine. Anyway I have no need for that because I do not suggest any posts here. I have yet to see anyone coming to my posts after their being suggested

As far as I know we only see those we're following. I don't see any point in blocking people unless of course they are being obnoxious or rude. It doesn't really make any difference otherwise.

I feel the same way. Let them bulk up my list of followers - it does not bother me. I only wish they followed me in the true sense (lol)

No, I do not waste time blocking those who follow me and are inactive. I only block who leave rude or offending comments. Only two since I joined.

So far it has not bothered me the only frustration being why they follow when they have no plans to participate

When I see a long list of followers and very few responses that is how I understand that most are nowehre to be seen

I would not delete anyone unless they go overboard to be offensive or inappropriate. I answer posts that interest me. If I don't answer one of yours, it could be that I missed it or am not interested in your subject. It does not mean that I won't answer another discussion you posted.

It is not about those who miss out now and then but those that follow but are nowhere to be seen in my activity

I do not waste my time looking at blocking people although I seem to get many people following but not interacting on my posts. Bizarre really! I do not know what their motive is if they are not going to interact?
