Much to my disappointment, I haven't been on mylot nearly as much as I thought I would after they started paying again and so many of us came back. What was amazing is how many of the old mylotters (or should I say original?) are still here, or have come back. So many of them were on another site, so it was great to stay in touch. Others, who didn't join the other site, still kept in touch by e-mail. And then as I looked around again I saw other familiar posters who, although I hadn't thought of in a while, immediately came back to my mind. I could recall things about their families, and their lives. It was like everything came back to my mind. It's still not like old times, but what exactly IS like old times? It's also been so great to see people who were on the now defunct Bubblews switch on over since their original site closed down. They are pretty great too. Still, I haven't caught up like I thought I would. I do have an additional surgery on my right eye this Friday. It was supposed to be a week ago, but it got moved. No big deal. I'm just hoping they will properly numb my eye this time. I'm going to ask them to do a test before they do any kind of cutting. I don't want to feel that kind of pain when it can so easily be prevented. Did I tell you my sister said she was never talking to me again a few days after Christmas? I took that about as seriously as I take the deranged man who lives nearby when he tells me he wants to marry me. Seriously, it actually made me laugh. Not a happy one, but a disgusted one. I'll fill you in later on what I did to make her say that. You'll never believe how benign it is. Oh, and she is talking to me again. I even got an apology. Shocker. ; )

Oh I really want to hear this one! I am always appalled at that sister of yours and why you bother to continue to forgive her for her rudeness! You're a better person than most! I hope your next eye surgery goes well!

I kind of feel like I have to. I have, however, stuck to not calling her about anything since this happened.

@AmbiePam I guess in a way you do have to. You want to keep seeing your niece and brother in law.

I pray you surgery goes well and I am glad your sister is talking to you again. Unfortunately, I don't have much time here, I have to leave soon. As for it being like old times again? Never! Not because people have changed (and they have, even I have changed a lot) but some are no longer with us. I will never again post a topic about foraging without WriterEdge (I think that was her name) coming to my mind and the Klingon dude, who became my friend on Facebook and a short time later was taken away. Then there was that one woman from Romania who had a dog and we would talk on and on about finding a natural flea repellent for our babies because we know how dangerous the chemicals are in flea drops (and not just for the dogs,I literally have to warn my husband before applying the drops so he can make sure to go somewhere that day) However, I am super happy you are here and when I saw you reply to my posts, I was thrilled to see you again. But, don't feel you have to be here, take care of yourself, we will be right here and if not, then like you said, we are connected on Facebook and I believe we have one another's e-mail address. That said, my alarm is going to go off in about 3 minutes to remind me to start getting ready to go, so I will talk to you later..

I remember Klingon man and WritersEdge. I didn't know they passed away. That's incredibly sad.

@AmbiePam Yes, I am very sad and I am sure there are probably others that I have interacted with who are no longer around, but some, like WriterEdge, made a big impact on my life.

Good to see your name pop up! I'm not here as much either as I work more now and it seems like I have less time to do things like mylot. I hope your surgery goes ok. And yea family is like that.

Do I suspect that it would not been all that distraught if she had at least kept her promise for a month or two? lol

Hi there! I was surprised to see your name. Haven't seen you here since I joined from Bubblews. There are lot of ex-bubblers here too. I love this site and have been enjoying catching up with all and sundry.

What are sisters fr if you two will not talk to each other just because of a petty thing .

We're talking. I never stopped talking to her. She quit talking to me. And it's hard to get close to someone who says to me that if we weren't sisters she probably wouldn't even like me. I try not to take it personally.

I am sorry that your sister acts like this. I have some notion of that myself. It is a sad fact of life.. I hope your surgery goes well and that they can be competent and keep the pain away from you Ambie.

Good luck with your surgery. You can connect with still more people here if you log in regularly. Maybe you will find some more of your old buddies here.
