Has anyone got a Kindle Fire Stick and a Kindle HD tablet? if so have you tried screen mirroring your kindle fire tablet screen to the TV using the stick? Does it work well? I have a kindle fire tablet so thinking about getting the fire stick only if it enables me to do screen mirroring. I don't want to waste my money if it does not work that well. If you are not sure what it is here is a link for it: www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00KAKUN3E
Shop Fire TV Stick on Kindle Store in UK. Amazon Fire TV Stick is a streaming media player with a dual-core processor, up to 1080p HD, certified Dolby Audio, and more | Free Delivery in UK

I have a small 7inch Fire tablet. I have not tried the screen mirroring as of yet. Cant at this time as my son is watching something but will try later and see how it goes. I do not have the Fire stick. I am still learning this lil tablet but I am way pleased with it. It was on sale for 39 dollars here.

@TiarasOceanView It mentions a fling button that shows up when screen mirroring is possible so guessing it might be.

I try to wait to buy things until they have had time to work all the bugs out. And, the prices usually goes down a bit also. Good luck to you!

Never tried it, I have a Samsung tablet and TV and theoretically it is possible but our TV has WiFi and access to many streaming apps.

@gudheart I know. There are still many new TVs sold without Internet. But for older TVs is is perhaps the only way to go.

I don't have a smart tv downstairs so wanted something cheap that could enable screen mirroring.

You can "fling" your Kindle's screen to the Fire TV stick if the Kindle model supports Second Screen. I think the HD lineup supports it on the 8 and 10 inch models... doesn't seem to be an option on the HD 6.

I usually control my Fire TV Stick from my Kindle. It basically turns the Kindle into a giant remote.
