The Walking Dead - Thoughts on Tonight's Episode

Tonight's episode of the Walking Dead is #610 (Season 6, episode 10), titled
"The Next World." In tonight's episode we will most likely find out what becomes of Alexandria after the group retakes the town from the walkers. My guess is that it will depict an Alexandria that has been cleaned up from all the slain walkers, and we will see the community rebuilding.
It is also rumored that this episode we see Darryl and Rick spending a lot of time together, something that has been lacking so far in Season 6. My guess is that they either go on a supply run together, or something draws them out away from Alexandria. Either way, I imagine that we'll see their bromance rekindled tonight.
What is going on with Spencer? He has seemed a little off during the last episode. Is he up to something? My guess is that somehow he comes across his mother Diana (now a walker) and has to deal with that encounter. Will he be able to kill her if he comes into contact with her?
Going back to Rick and Darryl, in the previews it shows them at a gas station and something catches their attention out back. What could it be? Is it remnants of Negan's gang who are looking for revenge? Is it the guy and girl who stole Darryl's motorcycle and crossbow? We'll have to wait and see.
And now that Jessie is out of the picture, who will become Rick's new love interest? The internet has been abuzz for years with fans hoping that Rick and Michonne will hook up. Could we start to see the beginning of that romance?
What happens with Carl, now that he's lost an eye? Does he recover? Will it be a drawn out ordeal, or will it be a quick recovering?

@GrannyGee I'm surprised it took this long for Rick and Michonne to become an item! They've had chemistry together almost from the very beginning. And in addition, since first arriving in Alexandria, they have lived in the same house together...Michonne in the bedroom on the first floor, and Rick and Carl in the bedrooms on the second floor. Also, Carl took to Michonne very quickly soon after she joined the group, and she has become not only a friend and comrade, but a mother figure to him. All around, it just made perfect sense. Let's hope the romance wasn't a one-time thing, and let's hope it continues!

@moffittjc Yes, because out of all of them ... they are the ultimate power couple ... one's as strong as the other, including Carl. I do hope it continues!

You know, I totally forgot that the show was on last night. I was busy with something then I got tired early. But I have it sitting in my DVR. So, I will catch it this morning at some point. Whatever happens, we have to remember that there is at least another season coming next year. I did hear a rumor that something will happen to Rick, no, not being killed or anything like that. I will watch it when I get the chance.

@sugartoes Maybe not. But it was a thought. I just watched the episode and I thought it was good. Now this new guy that calls himself Jesus. He seems to be up to something. Really.

I'm looking forward to watching next week's ... Jesus is in the house! Wait until you see him! By the way ... the guy who plays Jesus is a Brit like Rick, and is from the same town as Rick.

@GrannyGee I am aware of the Jesus character from the comics. I think I'll write a post about him, or at least what I know about him from the comics. Oh, and as far as episode 10, I thought it was mundane compared to the climactic and powerful episode 9. But that is not a bad thing, I think it was the perfect follow-up to last week's intense action. Sometimes, our emotions need a break from the intensity this show provides. The show's creators have a perfect way of providing that to us, often balancing action with non-action, as well as good story telling.

Last night's show was full of surprises! Spencer was going into the woods looking for his mother ... a walker and he got to end her in a way that was good for him. Carl did something that at first I wasn't understanding, nor did Enid ... it involved helping Spencer whom he'd seen in the woods ... and the walker, Spencer's mother. Michonne and Rick ... it stands to reason ... they've been through so much together and had bonded through time ... seems to have become a couple. What is shocking and worrying me is ... Jesus has come to Alexandria ... and he's full of mischief! This is just too exciting! :)

Some of my predictions in this post came to fruition last night in the episode. I knew that at some point Rick and Michonne would get together. Totally didn't see Jesus coming! That was a big surprise to me!

@moffittjc I still haven't watched any of these yet. I will eventually. Is it still going? Or has the series stopped? Are you now an expert on killing zombies? Or maybe an expert on being a zombie?

The show is currently in season 8, and has been renewed for season 9. It's still one of the highest rated television shows on TV right now. I would hope that after watching the series for 8 years now that I would know a thing or two about killing zombies! haha

I think a LOT of people have been patiently waiting for it to happen! To me, it's been obvious for a while that it was going to happen. I didn't expect Jessie to get killed off so quickly, so in truth I was expecting the Rick/Michonne hookup to happen sometime next season!

@charli205 I just thought it was interesting that they never gave Rick and Jessie a chance to develop a relationship. I would have liked to see where that would have gone first before she was killed off. I knew she wouldn't last too long because of her wimpy a$$ sons, and sure enough they got themselves (and her) killed.

@moffittjc lol after they got bit my husband was like Good I'm tired of those little whimps I was like omg that's horrible lol. He said that if the zombie apocalypse happens that we don't make new friends lol
