My insurance wouldn't cover the sleep apnea test in the sleep center but they sprung for a home test. I went to the sleep center this afternoon after work to pick up the kit and a very helpful employee showed me how to put everything on. There are 2 chest bands, a box that records sound that goes right under my chin, a nose piece, and a pulse/ox meter. I hope that I remember how to do it all in 5 or 6 hours!
I am hoping this test will help to show doctors if I have sleep apnea or not. My husband swears yes and I do seem to have all of the symptoms so we shall see. I wonder if this home test shows something if I will have to then do an overnight stay at the sleep center. Stay tuned!

I didn't know you could buy kits for testing sleep apnoea. I must check if they're available in Australia. I guess they are or else I'm sure you could get them online.

That is good that they let you do it at home. My son-in-law had this test done a few years ago, got a machine, and now he sleeps better and so does my daughter.
