A missing item in our house caused me to suspect someone until I later found it.

Have you ever misplaced or lost an item in your home only to later find it, but thought that someone might have stole it and when you finally found it did you feel ashamed for thinking such and such person might have possibly taken it? Word gets around. You might think, Hey, I bet so and so took it and used it as an ash tray. Then the person you told that to thinks, "If you think so and so did this, then you might also suspect that I took it." What a predicament I got myself into.

Sometimes it is hard not to blame others.

Yes I know but I always feel real bad for thinking people who I care about would even take something of ours. still there are other items missing like medications and towels and some jewelry. I can't put it all inside a Sentry Safe. LOL.

When that silver coaster was found a few weeks later I had to apologize to one of our friends and told him that under no circumstance did we think he might have taken it. It does, in fact look a bit like an ash tray and some of our recent visitors do in fact smoke.

@lookatdesktop I hope your friend wasn't too offended after you apologized.

@infatuatedbby , even though he accepted my apology I can't help but feel he is a bit resentful underneath.

It's hard to blame others but we really felt bad when we think our things are gone and stolen but we have to find it first before pointing others.
