It's Going to be a Messy Day

The overcast sky is starting to lighten. The sun won't be making an appearance today.
The forecast calls for a mix of rain, freezing rain, ice pellets and possibly heavy snow. The tracking of the storm is making it difficult to predict what we will ultimately see. The one thing that is sure, it will not be a nice day.
The messy, sloppy day, gives me a good excuse to stay home. There are plenty of jobs I need to finish, to keep me from being bored.
Somehow, I feel like cinnamon buns. I think that might be how I start my morning. I'll venture into the kitchen and start some dough rising. Then, later this morning we can enjoy some fresh, hot cinnamon buns.

When I got up it was howling windy and sleeting. Those weather guys... you know the ones who are always wrong.... said snow at 9 am it's now snowing like crazy here at 7 am. Supposed to snow until tomorrow morning we are getting between 3 and 8 inches. I'm thinking more like 8. Yuck I was so hoping for no more snow this winter.

Our snow changed to just rain so we are missing all that white stuff. We're supposed to get thunder storms late this afternoon...weird weather for sure

Do the UFO's reference her quilting and how did you know that before she shared her image of one? I don't get the connection either, but I probably missed a previous post about it?

I'm working on one. Hopefully the quilting is done in the next two weeks. Then I can tackle at least another one or two. The photo might be upside down.

@silvermist I didn't make them for years, because I was never happy with the finished buns, but the last three years, I have made them frequently with much better results.

Ten more minutes and the oven is turned on to bake them. In 30 minutes they will be served.

Yesterday we had a rain/snow mix for most of the day. Ther was only about an inch on the ground when I went to bed. Today is supposed to be much colder, but we are forecast to see the sun.

Yes, right! We can enjoy some hot cinnamon buns. Cute. Looks and sounds good, but I enjoyed a bowl of hot oatmeal cereal before heading out for my day today. I thought the snow had stopped, but it looks like we got a bit more again, and it's supposed to continue through the night. Not happy about that, if it does in fact still snow.
