How can people have pets and not afford the kids they have..

I am wondering right now. How come so many people that are struggling to care for kids have pets? I am talking about real struggle not just not having all the gadgets you want in your house. That is want not need. I see people not able to find food for the kids but the dog has food. How is that possible?

The picture below explains a lot, if the parents do want to take care of their kids they will no matter what. Having pet is different because they have separate needs we cannot compare taking care of pets with taking care of children

@mk6195 the photo you have here that don't make no sense to me with the one holding the dog & walking the kid what's up with that? some people just don't have the brains it takes to think the way they need to

@mk6195 Hard hitting picture! The first picture is a bit hard to believe. Who would do that?!! In the second picture, the poor woman has no choice but to do it.

I do wonder the same thing. I can't understand how some people who have pets and kids can afford to feed their pets and not their kids. It doesn't seem quite right to me. Yes, pets should be fed, but so should the kids.

That is how I see it and it should be not pets allowed when you can't feel your kids.

@sharon6345 I agree with you. If you are able to feed both kids and pets, that's great. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense. Make sure you can afford to feed both.

I am not very aware of this kind of scenario, and I have seen people having 2-3 pets instead of children. In my country there still a prominent percent of people struggling to earn one time food, here people only have pets when they are well off and they are fond of.. trust me.

I think it all depends on your budget but at times, I see people care for a dog and share what they have with them. I think it is more for companionship because admit it or not, the sense of being needed by anyone at times makes a great impact.

Ugh, yeah I know. I have a family member that is exactly like that. Every couple of months they get a new pet and it's rather frustrating to see. I don't know how they feel it's okay to be doing that.

I hear ya sometimes I wonder where's these people brains at they can't afford food for themselves much less for the kids they have but yet have a dog or so to feed on top of everything else they HAVE to have like power water phone food auto ins health ins & all the OTHER living expenses on top of that too. I have 8 dogs (my kids) & on a fixed income & we ALL eat fine but with all the OTHER living expenses we have we make it.

Our dogs are fed once a day while we humans eat three times a day. As for me i dont have kids so just the pets are fed once a day
