Mylot best response

For old timers in mylot, im sure you remember the best response icon you could click on the for the responses that you think is best for the discussion you post.
I am missing that now, because I like the feeling when my answer gets to be chosen as the best. Who feels the same way ?

I think that the feature was dropped because, very often, there was more than one candidate for "best response" and two or more responses together would all give excellent information on the topic from different viewpoints. Also people felt that it was something which could be open to abuse (the 'Best Response' was often given to the DO's "buddies", even though they clearly hadn't given what others thought the best response).
I believe that the current system of 'likes' is much fairer, though it would be nice, perhaps, if more prominence was given to those responses which had gained the most 'likes'.

yes this is nice as well. In the old times I usually zero in to the best response especially if the thread is too long and I cant sort the chitchat from the meaningful ones.

@dazzledlady The chit chat is part of the discussion and makes it more interesting other than the fact that it increases chances of earnings.

@mammots i see . I never understood how it was. I just kept on reading and trying to catch up with the conversation. I am seeing your point and I think its good.

I remember that feature and am pleased it disappeared. It could have been easily abused and some people who deserved to receive it never did because they were not part of the right group of friends. We are better off without it IMO

I wasn't on old mylot so I don't know how it worked. But I can imagine it would have left others feeling slighted... if the best response wasn't chosen fairly...

Yes, it may have been if the other users are abusing it.
