Feel A bit Foolish

Then again, maybe they now know. Many talk about colors running or not running. I am one way and that is it. Call me naive, but I do not care. I do not care that you are going call me foolish, naive, someone who does not get it. If the Marines cannot scare me. What makes you think you are? True, corporate America does scare me, and they let me know every day. Not this post. Just was grateful to open some eyes to some true colors. Life was not meant or ever will be about living in fear. I felt foolish for maybe having one to many. I felt proud when they realized I did not have one to many, but saw the world for what it is. This feels like I have felt for the last many years. It is not fun. Shame on people, but shame on me for allowing them to make me feel this way. We are all human and I rose up. What did they do? Only by great mentors. Whether directly or indirectly. I do not feel foolish I feel proud for recognizing the good ones.

As I was reading the post , im not familiar with the song if it is indeed a song but the line that struck me is that " life is not meant to be living in fear" Indeed , if we constantly fear then we wouldnt know what is possible and what might be. Its normal to be afraid but we have to try to know if its possible or not.

It is a song and have to say giving me better advice than corporate America. That being said, life is scary enough. The greedy play on those fears. They do not have to be rich. They are just trying to move up. They step on the throats of the honest also. We might need to teach the honest better.

@dazzledlady That is true and if there were none. Not directed towards you per say. What becomes of the world in general?

No-one should live in fear, and I'm glad that you now see the world for what it is.

I choose not to live my life in fear for the most part, but sometimes everything gets the best of us.

@enlightenedpsych2 I meant in a general sense for everyone, but could have worded that better.

I'm assuming you were in the Marine Corps, not facing down a unit of Marines. Corporate America does not scare me because I know how those in power work. The disappoint me, repeatedly, but they don't scare me. Politicians can sometimes scare me because of the dangerous and damaging things they do in their ignorance and greed.

Fair point about the Marines and also correct. Politicians have a different perspective because corporate America buys them. That is why Donald can very well be our next President. People see him as this anti politician. Nope, he is corporate America finally coming out of the shadows showing who really runs this country. Sad to say in the past few days I have come to realize Bernie Sanders is done. He has no shot. Tell me again why I should not fear corporate America when they have really been running things for the past 30 years with the exception of foreign policy which will change as soon as Donald Trump gets in there.

@crossbones27 I don't fear Corporate America, not because I disagree with you, but because I've been aware of Corporate perfidy for so long and have seen the futility of hoping for anything about it. The old twist on The Golden Rule has been true throughout most of human history, "He/She who has the gold, rules." We, the non-rich, are kidding ourselves when we believe anyone can change that short of destructive revolution. As for foreign policy, Corporate America has been the driving force behind nearly every conflict the US has been involved in since the end of the Korean Conflict, including Vietnam and the Gulf Wars.

Don't drag me down means he was unsure also but eventually had enough. This music is always evolving and that is what makes you know it is real.
