I have been waiting eagerly to know the release date of ambitious project of James Cameron, Avatar-2. I read somewhere that it slated to release Christmas 2016. Is it true? I really loved the first part and have been huge admirer of Cameron's work .

@avi256 Yes, I'd forgotten that. I think I may miss him too. His music seem well suited for the films he composed for

James Cameron will surely miss his favorite composer James Horner this time. James Horner passed away last year and has left a void that will be tough to fill. It was his soulful music that gave depth and intensity to two of Cameron's greatest works, Titanic and Avatar.

It is amazing how far computer special effects have come, still a little cartoon like but not at all bad once you lose yourself in the plot

The first one was so fat the best 3D movie I have seen till date. Not only it was visually stunning, but at the same time it was soulful too.

@Ronrybs James Cameron has this special ability to get the perfect blend of technology and the emotions, so that movie dosent looks a typical sci-fi which is superficial. Even in Titanic, which was technically ahead of its contemporaries back then , the soul was still the unconditional love.

Currently scheduled for 2017 not 2016!
While the first of James Cameron's three upcoming Avatar sequels was originally going to be released at the end of 2016, that planned shifted in January when it was revealed that the schedule was being pushed back a full year. Why did this happen? 20th Cen
