~Had To Read My Discussion Twice!~

I don't know if it is just me or not but...I am sure it isn't. Sometimes I get a response on my discussion and I think to myself-huh? It leaves me so confused, at times that I have to scroll back up and read my discussion again thinking I am the crazy one! It is not always someone that speaks another language first either! Please tell me I am not the only one this happens to at times. Do the responses you get at times make you re-read your discussion?

I do. Like, where the response came from? Haha

@Lucky15 Yes that does make it hard, so usually I just like the comment since I don't know what to respond with. Lol

@Lucky15 Yes exactly! I question myself thinking I am losing it because I know I didn't write whatever someone is responding to.

I once got a warning from the mylot system for having a respond that broke the lines, it was some sort of flaming and I couldn't believe it was mine. Most of the times, I review my respond before I send it, I see I responded to the issue, with a proper language. Yea, I need sometimes to edit my respond and it seems like it didn't come from me, but it did. I guess I have some other levels of awareness and I must check myself sometimes.

@stringer321 Oh goodness I can't believe you accidentally broke a rule here! At least we can edit our comments-that's a good thing.

@LovingMyBabies usually there isn't a problem but sometimes if I am overly tired or I am here on late I do look back and check to see if I really said something like that.

@RasmaSandra Lol, I think that happens to the best of us at times. I feel like sometimes people think they are responding to another discussion instead of mine.

This can happen when a comment thread drifts away from the discussion proper. I've got one in which members I don't know discuss things I know nothing about. And I'm notified all the time someone adds something. It drives me crazy! But it can also happen that someone picks an unimportant remark out of the post one has written and comments on it. Such a comment can indeed puzzle the writer.

@MALUSE I like when people have an on going discussion if I know what their talking about because its fun. If I don't know what they are talking about then maybe not. Some people just don't read discussions and they try to respond but at times it just does not make any sense. Or I think they are reading someone else's discussion and then commenting on mine-that is how it seems anyway.

Oh yes, it does happen to me as well. Someone may hook into a crumb in the post, or even still be thinking about another post I made. Honestly I have done the same to others, so I just go with the flow.

@GardenGerty I might have done it too, I am not sure. Lol. Sometimes it just makes me confused because I have no idea what someone is talking about.

That definitely happens to me all the time. I am not sure what I wrote, or even what discussion I was getting the response to,so I end up going back and reading it again, so I know how to comment back properely. I guess we are all crazy that way.

@LovingMyBabies it sure does, especially if I have a stack of notifications I need to get through,. I don't want to have to take time to go back and read it again.

@rosekiss Yes exactly! That's why when I am confused by those comments I will usually just like them and move on.

It has not happened to me so far. But I am not surprised as some just read the title and shoot off a response (lol)

@allknowing Your lucky it hasn't happened to you. Yes some do that and then it doesn't make sense to the topic starter.

@TheHorse Yeah that's what I am talking about, mostly people who haven't read my discussion but think they can respond accordingly from the title. My title's are sometimes misleading so thats not a good idea. Lol

@LovingMyBabies My titles can be misleading as well. Or they're just starting points, when the post is really about something else.

Absolutely. And I usually find that I can see what they picked up on in my discussion. I am sure I do the same to people. Something catches my interest in their discussion and it may not be their main point.

I know what you are saying. I too faced similar dilemma couple of times. I don't understand if they are even making sense or they have genuinely made a mistake by posting in the wrong discussion. How do you react to such replies?

@Scindhia Yeah it seems like they are responding to something else entirely. I usually just like those comments and move on because I have no idea what to say to them.

well, it happens to me too. some just put comments and run, but sometimes I respond and run to the next post with out re-reading it. and yesterday, it was twice when some ask me "what it means by this and that" that either i deleted my response or edit them.

@Letranknight2015 Yeah, I won't comment if I don't have time to make sense because I don't want to confuse the discussion starter. Lol.

Occasionally I get one that doesn't make sense. And sometimes it's a 'response' when it should have been a 'comment'. If it had appeared under a previous comment it would have made more sense - if that makes sense!!

@JudyEv Yeah I get what your saying. Some of the ones I get confuses me so much that I just like it and move forward. It would take a long time to think of something to say!
