"March on, do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection" Kahlil Gibran Walk it, leap it, pace it . . . march in the verb form is movement, however I was thinking along the lines of the Month of March which is now official ON! So many wonderful dates for me to celebrate in March . . My daughters Birthday as well as the Irish day of St Patrick's day. DID YOU KNOW: "Shamrock: The Shamrock (also referred to as clover) can rock our worlds with symbolic insight. They are remarkable survivors and can endure seemingly insurmountable challenges in their stubborn determination to live and thrive. Through droughts, substandard soil and ravenous goat appetites, the shamrock is a champion survivor. This is the spirit of Mars coming through - fierce will. and, the Shamrock is a common symbol of St. Patrick's day (March 17th) - an icon of the "fighting Irish."" May the month of March be exceptional Special and Lucky for all those that believe in it!

Happy birthday to your daughter. My grandson's birthday is also this month. He's my first and will be 24. I'm Irish or part Irish, so St. Patrick's Day has a special place for me. I like the stubborn determination to live and thrive. I think that about sums me up.

Today is St David's Day, who is the patron saint of Wales. There will also be the famous March 15th, which is the Ides of March so well known from Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar.

@Inlemay St Patrick's Day will always be the best known due to the Irish people celebrating it so strongly. Here is England more people seem to know St Patrick's day than know St George's Day, which really depresses me.

Clover is an important part of our pastures in Australia although I never hear it referred to as 'shamrock'. St Pat's Cabaret was my first ever adult ball. Maybe I'll write about it. :)

I love March, I think of March as the green month. My late husband and I were married on March 9th in 1968. No other birthdays or anniversaries for us, it was our own special month!

Happy 1st of March to you Inlemay! March On is a great title too. The first day of a new month, a time for setting goals, or if one has already, then starting to work on those goals, and what better time to start that march than in the month of March!
