I just cannot believe that the year is already getting old. Its March already and we look forward to the summer holidays that start at the end of the month. We take a few road trips in April to escape the summer heat. I haven't planned any as yet. Its also the time to grow all my summer squashes and gourds. It also birthday time in my family, I celebrate my birthday with a number of family members this month. Its a month of gifts and expenses for me. Its time for Easter celebrations and Easter lilies too. I love Easter lilies. Do you look forward to marching on this March?

@sofssu , this weekend my Uncle turns 80 and it will be a massive celebration, and yes, this year is already flying. Happy Birthday month to you.

My daughter-in-law's birthday is in March and we have a St. Patrick's Day party to celebrate. But I get sad, because we leave beautiful Florida to return home.

It is just another month for me, even though there are two grand kids that have birthdays this month, but they are beyond parties anymore, as one will be 21, and the other one will be14. Also not sure what I will be doing for Easter, as I usually go to my son's, but last year they didn't do anything for Easter, so not sure about this year yet. If I don't go there, I will just be home as usual, as I live alone, and I don't have anything to do with anyone.

@sofssu The mom has decided that at that age she doesn't need a party anymore, however, she will probably go to the roller rink with her classmates, and they will celebrate her birthday that way. I just give her money, as she is hard to buy for. She can get what she wants then.

@rosekiss Even the 14 year old will not be having a party? I look forward to Easter because of all the meaningful services in church. The solemnity of this season and the real meaning of salvation comes alive once again in this Easter season for me.

@silvermist You bet. I just saw a sunbird this morning. I haven't seen or hear one after we moved in here to our new home. I was thrilled.

@Jessicalynnt Its a blessing in the summer heat. I love all kinds of melons .. Honey dew melon is now cooling in the fridge to combat the mid day heat here.

Definitely! My sister will be celebrating her 34th birthday on the 16th of March. Her son will be graduating from his prep school this month. Just some of the celebrations I'll look forward to.

@sofssu I see that the birds are busy building their nests and the black birds sing very early in the morning. I like to see the parents feeding the baby birds in my garden.

March to me takes me to my childhood and teenage days when it was all about final exams in schools. The journey from March to April used to be exhausting one and then there were summer holidays. I always relate March to final exams and also the major cricket events take place in March. The ICC world cup always happens in March.

So have lots to celebrate this coming month! I can't remember any particular person in the family who celebrates birthday in March only my former Boss but we no longer see each other so no expenses for gift this month that I could forsee.
