Getting an exception error

I don't know if anyone else is encountering this error, but instead of a discussion loading, I get a bunch of gibberish on the screen, with it telling me that there is an exception error. I never had any problems with the new site until yesterday, when I encountered the error for the first time. It happened a couple of times, and when I refreshed the page, then the discussion would load. I just hope that if this a porblem in the new site, that they will fix it as soon as possible. I love the new site and I have since it was suggested to me, and I feel it is a very nice change, even with the exception error and any other problems that might come up. I am posting this in hope that @MyLotBugs will see this and work on fixing it, unless it is on my end, but then I had it on my ipad too, so maybe it is with the site.

Yes, I see it quite frequently (like multiple times a day) but only in Firefox, never (or very rarely) in Chrome. It has to do with a timeout within the code that retrieves the data for the page, I believe, and it MAY have something to do with the browser's cache size (and therefore the time it takes to load pages) but it looks much more like something internal to the code which makes the page you see to me. MyLotbugs does know about it. I actually sent him a PM again this morning.

@owlwings I use the refresh tab on the browser. I suppose I could use F5, but I just nevedr thought about doing so., It does work with the way I am doing it too. At least it works for awhile anyway, until it decides to give me the error again.

Oh okay, good, as I figured he would eventually find out about it. I know now, that he will get it taken care of. It is funny though, as I am using Chrome, and getting it. I am happy though that I don't get it all the time, as I won't stop coming in here just becasue of a few errors. It will be buggy since it is new, but I know that every problem that comes up will be taken care of.

Yes it will, as @MyLotBugs knows about it, and he takes care of things as soon as he knows about them. We can all rest assured, it will be fixed.

The situation is becoming prolific on both versions of the site for me. It appears to be resulting from a slow response from the server, which I suspect could relate to the demand being imposed on it by trying to run 2 sites in harmony.

@rosekiss I am using the old site, which has been left available for a while. The usual address now directs to the new site and the old site has moved to old.mylot.com

@Asylum Oh okay, as I have not been using the old one since the new one was suggested to me. In that case, it is entirely possible what you said about sites running side by sidw He now knows that it is a problem and so I am not concerned,, as he will fix it soon enough.

The other site has been removed from what I understand, to that can't be it. I don't get it to much though, so I am dealing with it, as @MyLotBugs has already been informed about it, so it will be taken care of in due time.

I was wondering if I was going crazy, as no one else has been getting it, but now that you are too, then I am not crazy at all. It is annoying, but at least it isn't happening all the time, so until it gets fixed if it is glitch, then I will just deal with it, and refresh the page, as then it is gone and the discussion will then load.

I am hoping that is what it is. Other than that, no problems at all, and even that error, doesn't happen all the time, thank goodness. If it is a glitch, I am sure that it will be taken care of in time.

I did yesterday and Monday, but not before. Since the day is just starting here, I will have to see how it goes today. I don't get it all that much, thank goodness, and it has been reported to @MyLotBugs so I know it will be taken care of.

@kevin1877uk I have only had the exception error, but it has been fixed or being fixed, and so far today, I haven't encountered it at all, so that is good, as I love the new site, and will never go back to the old one, as I had more problems there than ever.

No, as it has been fixed, and I am glad. It didn't happen all the time though, but it did happen enough that it became annoying.

I only startted experiencing it yesterday, and not every time, but once in awhile. Once i refresh the page, it is gone and the discussion loadd. It more than likely a glitch like you said. I love the new site, and having probloems will not keep me away from here, as I know that the probmes will get ironed out in time.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX The funny thing of it is, I am using Chrome, but as it stands, I am not the only one getting the error, and it has been reported to mylotbugs. That is actually the only error I have ever received since using the new site, so I am not to worried about it, as it will get fixed now, that they know about it.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX I am sure that will take care of it. I wants us to let him know when there are probelms, as he doesn't always see our discussions, as he can't be everywhere at once. I am not to concerned about it now, that I know he will take care of it in due time.

I do believe it has, as I haven't had it since I posted this discussion. @MyLotBugs commented here that it has been fixed, and if anyone has a problem and sees it again, to let him know.I am glad that it works much better now, as it was an annoyance getting it, even though I didn't get it all the time.

At first, I thought it was my computer, but I had the same problem on my ipad, so I then knew that it wasn't with my ipad or computer. I was thinking I was the only one getting that error, but now, I see others are getting it too, so I don't feel so crazy anymore.

@1hopefulman Nope it sure isn't, as others have said they are having the same problem. I figured it was with the site and not with my laptop, and now that it has been reproted, it will certainly get taken care of, as soon as possible.

Since I posted this discussion, I haven't had the error. @MyLotBugs said that the error has been fised, and if we have any more problems with it to let him know. I haven't had the error since, so more than likely it has been fixed. I do use the new site too.

@yalul070 This is a new day now, so hopefully, things will got well today too. When things run smoothly, I can go faster, but when things go wrong, it takes that much longer to get done what I am trying to do.

Since I started this discussion, it has been fixed, as @MyLotBugs commented on this discussion. I haven't had any problems with that error since, so that is a good thing. That was the only problem I was having though, and I am glad as I love the new site, as it is much nicer than the old one.

I know what you mean, as with the old mylot, I had problem after problem. The exception error is the only one I have had on the new mylot. I am glad about that too, as I love the new site as it is a very nice change.

If would be Software Developer @Mylot and would have faced it then would have Run it in a DEBUG Mode and put breakpoint to see why the exception is occurring :) #CodingFreak! But Karen nice tester you are I would say :)
