My balcony snow peas are flowering!

How appropriate that it would happen on March 1st. The snow peas on my balcony are throwing their first flowers. In a couple of weeks, I should have some snow peas. The secretly planted ones at Kaiser are even further along, with huge flowers and really dense vines. The ones in Berkeley are doing well too. We're supposed to have rain this weekend. I hope it comes. Any signs of Spring (or Fall) in your area?

Springtime is busting out all over the place here. Trees starting to bloom. Daffodils in bloom. Crocuses have already bloomed and faded. I went shopping at WalMart tonight and the women's clothing department looks like Butchart Gardens. Hooray for springtime!

I'm not at home this week, I'm shivering in the Great White North...except it's not white right now, just miserably cold. I'm ready for spring!

Your snow peas are growing healthy. We also expect rain for the weekend, the lettuce has already grown in the garden.

@LadyDuck We're supposed to get rain later tonight. But it doesn't feel like rain. In Montana, a sudden cold wind in the afternoon means rain is coming.

Not yet here. The weather is like a roller coaster. Beautiful one day then chilly the next.

@TheHorse yes we do. And we haven't really had much for snow this year. A very mild winter

@T_gray Interesting. It's been fairly mild here in California too. We had some rain in January, but February was a disappointing dry month.

I use Miraclo Gro soil, and then Miracle Gro Quick Start and horse poop. Also coffee grounds sometimes.

That's great! Spring is off and on. We had snow for the first day of March. Not a lot, but enough to brush off the car. Maybe half an inch.

@TheHorse We've had snow as late as May in some years. I don't think that will be the case this year. We've been too warm for anything but spring to show up right on time.

Mmmm snow peas. It's starting to get a little spring-like here, but we probably have a couple more storms due. March and April, historically, are our worst months.

I know that we have snow in odd months in Montana (July one year at 4,500 feet). I assume it's hard to know when Winter is "over" in Colorado as well.
