Sometimes it pays to go to the thrift stores first!

I needed an odd sized frame for my JFK canvas portrait. I got this really nice detailed one. (The frame had a beveled boarder that I didn't use, I'll hang on to it because they are really expensive.) It was $2.99 at the Goodwill, then I got 50% off because it was half price Saturday. I couldn't have gotten anything nearly as nice new for anywhere close to that price. I guess you'll have to go to Facebook or Instagram. to see the picture of the frame that I got, MyLot will not let me post it.

Spring is coming and that means another great way to save money-yard sales! One of my nephew's and his future bride bought some of their decorations for their wedding at yard sales, a smart move. For those who might frown upon that, just remember that the item already has "experience" in a great wedding.

Awesome deal. I never find anything awesome at my local Good will but I have seen many people finding awesome steal/deals.

I think the half price Saturday is really a good marketing strategy. You sure can save a lot by shopping on Saturday. I wonder how much they pay the staff in thrift shop.

You scored a good deal! I do the same. If I need something, I check the nearby thrift shops first. Some of my things were purchased at the thrift store.
