Revamped Instant Noodles

United States
March 6, 2016 11:42pm CST
Long time - my boyfriend and I haven't ate instant noodles. When we do eat instant noodles we like to add some extra touches like for today we added: - Diced green onions - Diced cilantro - Some slices of grass fed roast beef - Boiled egg - Topped with vietnamese style dried onions We enjoy buying instant noodles from the brand Nongshim. They have many kinds and one of our favorites is this mushroom kind. Do you like to revamp your instant noodles? What do you usually use? Noodles:

Adding chicken is a nice touch. I hardly eat ramen since it was banned sorta in my household. Only allowed once a month so recently I had a craving so I bought a little bag - has like 5?

@TRBRocks420 No particular reason - just my mom said it wasn't healthy.

Oh you are very much like me I also modify my instant noodles if I'm already tired of the taste or want to make it healthier, here are some of the things i add depending on my mood: fried garlic, green onions, hard boiled or raw egg, curry, chili powder, cabbage, tomato sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil. Popular brand here is Nissin and our supply coming from the States is usually Maruchan.

I never tried adding raw egg, sometimes I scramble some egg. And yes, I love soy sauce sometimes too depending on my mood! Never had curry, chili powder, tomato sauce or sesame oil. Those are all new to me!

@louievill Yes - the egg will eventually cook so it isn't raw, but I never tried that concept before. I am sure it tastes just as delicious. I will try next time along with cheese. Have you tried adding shredded cheese - a member belong does. My best friend also suggested me too but I never tried. Yes - curry/chili but I think the hot content with the package is good enough for me, hehe.

@louievill I like cheese in my sandwiches also. I think the spice in the seasoning is hot enough but yes ~ I know many who add additional heat and love it, hehe.

Yes, the photo is mine. It's eatable even though the beef isn't cooked 100% it's deli slices. But I eventually dipped the beef into the broth and stirred it ~ so it was cooked. Some eat this in their sandwiches like that.

@infatuatedbby If i have my way , i like my beef to be well done though . It has a smell of being raw sometimes , that's why . But that's my preference only .

@SIMPLYD Oh yes - I know what you mean, but just for the photo. Afterwards I dunked the slice of beef into the broth along with crushing my eggs lol.

That sounds quite the combo! I have never tried adding cheese but I heard it's really delicious. My best friend recommended me to try it and as much as I love cheese - I don't know how it'd taste. What kind of cheese do you typically add? I never put butter/tuna either. I will have to try sometime.

@lexiconlover Awesome - thanks! I shall try that sometime in the future. I don't often eat noodles but next time I will put aside a little portion and try it with cheese.

Ha-ha.. It's roast beef.. but i call it ham because it's sliced into ham???????? lol I never noticed you are correct! How should i refer to roast beef so people don't think it's a chunk of roast beef? Roast beef deli slice?

@Lucky15 Cabbage is a nice touch , carrots! Though I am not a fan of big chunks of carrots, little diced cubes would be nice and healthier too.

i do that kind of stuff with Ramen noodles or the Mauren brands. Some people think they are blah but I like them because they are inexpensive and you can make many different things if you are creative.
