Are you a true couch potato or just at certain times. Do you have your remote right next to you along with your TV guide so you don't have to get up. How about your trash can, pillows, blankets. If you do this all the time then you are a true couch potato. Photo from Pinterest

I am more an easy chair potato, as I sit in my comfy easy chair, with my laptop right beside me, and the remote control too. I do get up at times though and walk around to get my exercise, and with dogs, I have one that loves to play, and i need to get up and throw her toy, so she can fetch it.

@Marilynda1225 Since I have had my easy chair, I just don't use the couches anymore, as they aren't as comfortable, that is for sure, espeically, when I fall asleep reaslly easy when I put my head back.

Do they still make the TV Guide? Haven't used one of those in many years. I am not a couch potato, I sit in a recliner!

@AbbyGreenhill I think they still make a TV guide. We will forgive you for a recliner but you are still a couch potato and we will take you it a good thing.

@rebelann Congrats you are still a couch potato even though it is done from your chair. Well we all need something to lull us to sleep and why not TV it's as good as the next thing, right?

@rebelann It sure is better than using booze or pills because you pretty well know you will wake up in the morning, right?

I'm not a couch potato and I don't watch TV. But, I work lying on my bed with my laptop on my tummy, trash can near me, and pillows under my head. If I'm lying on a couch, I think I can also be considered a couch potato=)

@Marcyaz I work from home, doing online legal tasks for clients abroad. Sometimes, I sit when I need to write something. I'm used to typing while lying on my bed than when sitting. It's weird.

Of course nobody will truly admit to being a couch potato, lol We would all like to believe we are more active than we really are. Everyone has a special show or time of day that turns them into one!! Great Article

Sometimes , when i am already done with cleaning our bedroom . I would be that for an hour and get up after that , because i know it's unhealthy to be that way .

I wouldn't say I was a true couch potato. I mean, I'm not exactly active the way I'd like to be. I do dance a bit around the house and sometimes go for a walk around the block but I also do spend the majority of time on here while the TV is on.

I have never used a TV Guide. I have local channels and Roku box with Netflix, Hulu Plus and YouTube. I stay busy with everyday life, and do not have time to be a couch potato. I sure wished I could though...wow..I do need a break. I only watch TV or read at night. Well, I also read why waiting in doctors offices.

When I feel lazy I curl up on a couch with all the things I need in reaching distance. But I get fed up being lazy too. LOL I am weird like that. So, when I work on my computer, I prefer to sit on a stool and a chair. That way I wouldn't be getting any support in the back.
