I need a snack

Or I want a snack. That is a more truthful statement. It has been a long day in a way. I was away from the computer all day. For about three hours I was at a restaurant catching up with an old friend. I shopped a little bit, but still forgot some things. My flower garden will thank me, I got a big heavy bag of soil. That made me tired. Somehow it was easier to get the bag into the shopping cart than it was to get the bag into the back of the pickup. I am glad hubby was able to put it where I needed it at home. I topped a potato with homemade chili and cheese, but that was hours ago. Christian Women's Fellowship was at the church, so I was gone then as well. Too bad I do not have any cookies.

For some weird reason I wanted a chocolate cake donut today. I didn't get one, but oh it sounded good! We're getting a lot of rain. Are you guys?

It looked like it was gonna pour, but it did not.. I think we live in kind of a dry band. We had a little mist last night.

I had some Honey Nut Cheerios and some cashews. I should have had a banana, cause I ended up with leg cramps.

I would have to go bake cookies to eat them. I settled for Honey Nut Cheerios.

@GardenGerty I'd probably skip the cookie part and just go straight to the bag of chocolate chips (yes I do have a problem---and I'm battling it, but sometimes I really, REALLY want something sweet and chocolatey).

@Platespinner We keep Dove dark chocolate promises. If I eat one a day, I seem to not have the craving. I wanted to eat an entire loaf of toast with butter.

There is a reason I do not have any cookies. If I had cookies I would eat them all immediately.

@T_gray I have all these recipes I want to try. I have not yet. We will buy a pie or a cake and eat one piece daily until it is gone. It was all gone last night.

@GardenGerty I had banana and ice-cream for dessert last night. We don't usually have dessert but the bananas need eating and it seemed sensible to combine it with ice-cream. :)

I think you need a snack -- vast difference between a need and a want (lol)

You need to keep some cookies in stock and may be some savoury items (if you like) like peanuts, almonds or something like it so that you could have them, when needed. Here are some cookies for you. Picture courtesy - en.wikipedia.org

Those cookies look delicious, and I would eat them all in one sitting. I do have some nuts on hand and i ate them as part of my snack.

@GardenGerty Yes, these cookies are delicious. I think having some nuts in hand will help you overcome your hunger pangs.

I get like that, I keep a jar of chocolate covered raisins and that fills my needs most of the time and keeps me from being really really bad, just a little bad

I would have to put them in the cabinet so I would not see them. Chocolate is good for you and so are raisins. All in moderation, of course.

I had made some yummy bread pudding with leftover applesauce muffins instead of bread and had some of that instead of a cookie when I got the hungries last night. It was so good!

I have one more pudding left from a pack of two that I bought the other day. it was really delicious and I'd like to go ahead and eat the last one again tonight but I'm sort of saving it. The pack was about $4.99 for two. I thought I was getting four smaller ones so that is why I bought it. I guess next time I'll learn to read the packaging more clearly or not try to shop for things I don't usually buy when I am tired and ready to go home. I saw some post about crisping strawberries and how they taste like candy but are very healthy. It didn't mention anything about adding sugar to them. It sounds good, maybe worth a try when strawberries are in season again.

I have ordered two flats of strawberries that a local farmer will pick in Florida. I imagine dehydrated strawberries would be good. They are in the cereal boxes.

No cookies. Call the mall. Order from them and have them deliver to your home. Still, do you have a problem? Call your hubby to help you. Still have a problem? That is normal. Everyone is not exempted from any form of problem, small or big; easy or difficult.

I've only had time for one cup of coffee today. I may have peanut butter on a spoon to tide me over until dinner. We're going out for Italian, and I want to save room for that!
