Bribing voters

There was a By-election yesterday at Malindi;coastal Kenya. A certain MP is said to have been caught bribing voters to have them vote for the person they were supporting. This MP is on the government side. I was not surprised at all and it seems money reigned in that area yesterday. If i were there i would have made sure to have my hands on the money and then vote for whoever i want,after all it is citizens money they are misusing and whether he is caught or not there is nothing much will be done anyway.

That also happens here in our country . Some staffers of a politician would give money secretly to some voters who can be bribed . Sad , but that is true here also.

@Missmwngi That's what we do actually , because the leader of our place would send an envelope with money and our names on it . So , we take it but vote for the candidate of our choice . Anyway , that is from our income taxes paid .

Bribing is just wrong and all we can do about it is hope honest people get elected. I hope that will be the case for your country.

Unfortunately a voted honest person swims in a field full of corrupt minds and he/she gets dragged along. it is a sad situation

That's a good idea. Take the money but vote for the person you want to. This is perfect justice if they are bribing people.
