Day 11 - not at all normal

I woke up at 7 a.m., I had my clock sent for 7:30, but life happens. I feed the Pong, put Boe out, and got dressed. Then I messed on my computer until the roomie got up, also early. She started heating up her water for coffee. Well, there is no coffee for me today because I've got to go get knocked out for more shots in the neck. At 8:20 my friend showed up to take me to get it done. Despite driving the access road all the way, seemed a lot straighter than driving on the freeway, probably because we were going slower and not seeing the road curve because of being below it most of the time, we still made it there earlier than the appointment time. After the procedure, they fed me goldfish and apple juice, yummy. We went back on the access road too, but I still got home around 11. I stayed up for a bit, but knew the drugs in my system would put me down for the afternoon. It had rained while I was getting worked on, but had stopped by the time I got out. The sun actually came out this afternoon, not helping my nap. I got up about 4, and soon my head started hurting. Now... back in September of '98, after my second reconstruction after breast reduction. When I came out of the anesthesia I had a splitting headache that didn't abate for MONTHS. So, before I left, we started a roast in the crock pot. "Baby" potatoes, carrot chips on the bottom, a mustard and herb on top, then onion sprinkled over that and then a cup and a half of beef broth. About 6 the roomie started asparagus and soon we had a chunk of roast beef, potatoes, carrots and asparagus. We had an apple for our fruit, but the roomie points out that I 'deserve' a drumstick. So, how was your day?

My mother got to go to Nairobi back in the late 1990's. I have a picture of a giraffe that hangs over my desk that she took and blew up to poster size.

@ElicBxn What kind of medicine was she taking? Things keep changing;that was 1990;20 plus years down the line and maybe you would not have to take them

oh no, this is just a dull ache. That was waking up with a splitting head so bad I was throwing up - and you know that you don't have anything in your stomach before you get the gas. I ended up with the neurologist almost as long as I was with the plastic surgeon!

Therapy can be rough. I did it off and on for several years until they finally did an MRI and discovered I really need shoulder surgery!

My day yesterday was okay after I was able to get a cup of coffee. Do you still have a headache? Your dinner sounds good I will be right over for left overs.

It was very good meal. I woke up about 3:30 and got up for more aspirin and that seems to have kicked it. I suspect that its from the stormy weather we are having.
