The Songs of the New Millennium

I have been seeing post after post of people wondering what has happen to the music industry. Before, songs were a story about lovers, life, friendship, etc but now I have noticed that it's like the usual vocalisations that you hear. The songs do not have depth and would at times just be repetitive. I am not saying all of the songs but most of it. What do you think?

ive seen memes comparing classics and todays generation and theyre all hilarious. i agree with the old school music fans, they can never beat classics and 90's music.

True! I mean I even try to search for lyrics of these new songs and to be quite honest, they do not make sense to me! There is no story at all. It's like singing a nursery rhyme.
