I have been teaching adults how to read for years. I am thankful for the chance to serve others in some small way. Serving others is so important. I would love to hear about how you serve others. Thanks!

I had volunteered in an isolated country. The large scale of population made me tried to transfer my professional skills to them. It is really rewarding.

do you teach for free? if you dont mind me asking.. thats a wonderful act of helping others. i saw one documentary before about people who teach kids in some 3rd world countries. i find it amazing when they showed how they were so progressive including the kids. i wish i could be part of that in the future.

That's a wonderful thing, to enrich lives like that. I don't think I can give any example similar to yours, but I do ask God to let me be a blessing to someone I meet each day. I've been amazed at how many times He's done that.

I used to be a volunteer language teacher in my country. I taught immigrants our local language. I enjoyed it very much and I was happy that I was able to help them. My students have left language school, and I am not their teacher anymore, but I am still friends with them.

That is a great way to serve. I have served in many different ways in the church all of my life. Right now, my serving consists of doing data entry work, typing, etc. for my daughter. She is a pastor's wife, but is also working on her Doctorate, so whatever projects she can, she passes on to me.
