Reorganizing the house-one more time.

plants, organization, organizing space

After reading a post here by @JamesHxstatic about reorganizing, the idea came to us to do this one more time. We seem to do this as the seasons change. The post referred to is below this article. Why is my photo sideways? Don't know-and if you know me, you know the other half of that sentence is...Don't care. So, why reorganize? Because there might be a better way to use our space. So, now some small tables will switch rooms, some toss pillows were placed elsewhere and some plants were moved around...little things that make a space just feel different have taken place. This is the post about some changes made. Nothing big-just keeping it simple. But, it does make it feel the space is better. Maybe it is just a different look for a few minutes. Are you in the habit of changing things up a bit as the seasons change?
We have lived in this house for nearly fifteen months now. When we moved in, SheWhodecides placed the various counter top appliances around the not too large...

I don't but my brother is like that. I am a creature of habit and usually like things the way they are. It seems like he is always changing things.

It seems certain personality types do this more than others.

@PatZAnthony I think you are right. Now, when I do spring cleaning once or twice a year, I do like to move things around as it really feels cleaner to me that way.

Yes I love to do exactly the same sort of thing, it costs almost nothing and gives everything a new and fresh look

I have to get busy in the spare room. I have to make space for the tables that will hold my garden plants. There is a lot of sunshine that comes through the window in that room, but it is small so I will need to move things around a bit.

We keep putting things off until the seasons change for some reason!

@PatZAnthony I guess we get energized to do the things we have put off for so long.

Hubby likes changing the furniture around in the living room at least twice a year. We have rearranged our bedroom furniture a few times as well. The twins room gets moved around as they grow. Lil Keith's room is the only one that really stays the same. His room is smaller than the rest of them. Of course I rearrange storage closets often and the kids closets get rearranged at least twice a year. I really need to tackle mine and hubby's closet but I just don't have the energy at the moment. It might seem silly to arrange and rearrange closets so much but we are blessed with great deals and bargains that keep us stocked up on items that we need around the house and often that means rearranging to make the shelf space work. Of course I see really neat ideas on Pinterest and I just have to give them a try too!

I read that article. I used to change things around a lot, but the last few places I've had, didn't have more than one way anything could be put. I do change my bedroom around though from time to time. The only room I can do that with. I'm trying to figure out if I can rearrange this office for better use, but the more I think about it the more it doesn't seem like I can. I am going to be taking everything out of here in the near future and get it vacuumed properly and then see about what I can do to rearrange it.

I always like to reorganize my home. I just like to do that since I was young, perhaps I feel good when seeing the new settings or layout. Moreover, it always creates more space after re-organizing. As I am staying in tropical country, so I don't do that seasonal, but whenever I feel like it. Hope you'll enjoy re-organizing!

I used to switch the main rooms of the house around several times a year, but not just when the seasons changed. Mostly when I had extra time. I'd rearrange the furniture too. I like change, but as I'm getting older it's harder to move on my own, so they stay put a bit longer than they used to. I've not been able to do much different with our bedroom in a long time as we now have a king sized bed and it only fits one way. I didn't notice the plant was sideways.

When we were younger my husband said he could never walk into the house in the dark because I would have all the furniture moved and and he would trip over something. That was true but we moved almost every year and rented a house in the next town, It took me a while to get the furniture right in my mind... and I would get it there just when a better job was offered for more money and there we went again moving.... When we came to Canada we moved a few times deciding where the kids were going to go to school. Since we bought this place and settled in I don't move the furniture anymore. Its perfect where it .

We don't move larger furniture, just some of the smaller things. Almost done for the season!

Thanks, @PatZAnthony, for the mention and the link too! The coffee pot thing is working out well so far. I have to give Anne credit for that one. It is now on the same side as the sink and everything.

We always seem to be reorganizing something! Now that the weather is a bit warmer here we are working on an extra room too.

I like changing things around. I often do it with ornaments. Simply putting them in a different place makes me notice them more and gives me renewed pleasure.

I used to decorate seasonally so I did make small changes with the seasons, but these days there aren't seasons really where I live, just holidays and I enjoy them through others decorating.

Moving things around does make it look like the space is now different.
