Mike Silver of the NFL Network reports the news on Thursday the Denver Broncos have "been in touch" with the player representative of free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Broncos currently have quarterback Trevor Siemian on their roster. Siemian will be in his second season in the National Football League in the 2016 football season. The Broncos are interested in making a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to acquire their quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick would be a welcome addition to the Broncos since they will enter the 2016 football season as the defending Super Bowl champions. Fitzpatrick is currently in negotiations to get a new contract with the New York Jets but he will stay with the team if they are willing to pay him his market value. Fitzpatrick, 33, has played in the National Football League since he was a seventh round draft choice of the former St Louis Rams in the 2005 National Football League Draft out of Harvard University. Fitzpatrick has been the quarterback for the Rams, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and New York Jets. Maybe the Broncos losing Brock Osweiler to the Texans via the free agency route is a good thing because Kaepernick has taken the 49ers to one Super Bowl and Fitzpatrick does have a good track record of being the type of quarterback that could take care of the football with the Broncos since they have the best defense in the league.

Robert Griffin the III is also looking for a team. I wouldn't recommend him!
