what do the books you read say about you?

I am drawn to books with darker topics: drug addiction, alcohol addiction memoirs, memoirs of abuse, mental health disorders, eating disorders. This is my favorite genre ans I think its because I hope to help people in these areas later on in life, once I get my masters degree. I also like crime novels. Which I am not sure what it says about my personality. Maybe I need action, have a weird thing for reading about gruesome crimes. I am open to other types but these are my favorites. What genres are your favorite? And what do you think that says about you as a person and your personality? Reading anything good now?

@maezee I like British and Scandanavian thrillers. No particular authors.

I enjoy crime novels as well, I think it is because I like to figure things out and I would love to be some kind of investigator but I don't have the motivation for school and all of that mess.

Why do you think you like those? Do you have an active imagination and thats why you like sci fi? Or do you secretly believe in the supernatural? Do tell!
