Photo Study - The Geese Statues Of Altrincham

An unusual site I found on a photo walk is this pair of metal geese in the Altrincham, Cheshire district known appropriately as Goose Green. They remind me of the iron Chicken in The Clangers cartoons on children’s TV.
The name Goose Green makes me think of the region of the Falkland Islands which saw fierce fighting in the short war there between the UK and Argentina in 1982. The Altrincham Green now has little greenery left but probably once attracted real geese rather than metallic robot ones.

Have never seen these lovely statues Arthur.
So lovely.
Is it a type of copper metal I wonder.
I always love the sea green that develops on them.
