Do We Really Need Another Oreo Cookie Flavor?

When someone said they saw cinnamon flavored Oreo cookies at the store I raised a brow – spicy cinnamon or sweet cinnamon? Moreover, what kind of cookie was it? Eventually I got to see the package at the grocery store and the mystery was solved, it wasn't cinnamon, it was cinnamon bun. It looks like a vanilla Oreo (the cookie part) and the cream filling center is white with a faint hint of a sticky bun. The packaging is the same as the regular Oreo but if you haven't bought them in a while then the point is moot. There's a peel-and-lift piece to it with a clear plastic tray. The flavor is pleasant but it's nothing that I'd go out of my way for; that's not to say that there's anything bad about them but they just didn't impress me as having a stand-out flavor. I dumped them in one of the clear cookie jars in the kitchen about a week ago and there's still about half left so I think the general consensus about the flavor is the same across the board. What's your favorite Oreo flavor? Do you like the cookie or the filling? Which is better, Oreo or Hydrox? Photo: Me

I feel like it wouldn't taste all that different from vanilla. I love the outside of the cookie, but the filling is obviously the best part.

I saw those! I'm also wondering how many different colors do they have to make the filling to fit the holidays - all that food coloring can't be good. I'm all for the original . . . just wish they'd leave it alone!! I remember the name Hydrox, but I don't remember anything more about them.

I don't think we have these but perhaps we do. We have Hydro Creams which i think are similar.

I would try them. I like mint Oreos. They have so many new flavors I haven't sampled them all.

I'm not a fan of Oreo in any flavor but the thought of some of them-gross. Just because you can doesn't mean you should!

I only like the vanilla since it compliments the chocolate cookie. Nothing more please...
