Kidnapped - from the palm

It was like a Hansel and Gretel trek down the road yesterday. Instead of following bread crumbs, it was palm leaves. Every couple of car lengths laying squarely in the middle of the lane was a single palm leaf, perfectly placed. I am pretty sure this palm has been kidnapped and was giving directions of where it went. I followed these leaves for awhile. Alas, they stopped. I will never know who kidnapped that poor palm or where it is now.

It sounds like someone was having a lot of fun at others expense.

LOL. I'm not sure. It would have been a lot of work on someone's part. I just thought it was so funny how the palm tree leaf just kept appearing exactly in the middle of the road. LOL

@mommaj Considering where it was, exactly in the middle, someone had to put it there. It only stands to reason.

@just4him The roads here have continuous traffic. I couldn't imagine someone doing that. They would be dodging vehicles because it was a main, divided, two lanes on each side highway.

Uhhh... mommaj, you do realize that palm was probably not kidnapped, right? It seems very obvious to me that it was a young tree, possibly in a palm tree's equivalent of their teen years. The trail you were following was the young palm signalling desperately that it was being taken by its parents to a boring location much against its will. It was hoping some kind hearted person would catch up to them and save it from what will surely be the longest days and nights ever experienced by palm tree kind! If only that poor palm tree had known that the only person interested in following its trail was someone who deliberately destroys trees by shooting them until the trunk is cut cleanly in half! I think it would be much more content to be going somewhere with more sun and rain than what you get in your yard! BTW, are the police still covertly watching you after you ruined your neighbor's very expensive plantings?

There is still a police car that drives by every once in a while. They stopped looking through my shed for the clippers. HAHAHA Why would I keep them there? (I have them under my bed, you know, just in case.)

What are they going to do with that. The poor tree. Hope they give it a blanket. So much exposure...

@mommaj I am not sure what they are going to do with it, but I agree that a blanket would surely help the poor tree. Can you imagine the embarrassment of that poor nekkid tree and how the other trees will mock it.

Was it sunday? Palm Sunday? Do you see something called "Sun", and "Day" there? May be it was the intention to leave you in hot sun absorbing Vitamin D..

@mommaj ..Yeah..you are showing signs alright...problem is I live in a region that has too much sun 24/7, 365 days...so you would always have had a tad less than me...can't you tell with cookie colored skin.

LOL! Next time, leave a trail of hand grenades. You will be lost, but you will catch the thief.

@vandana7 That means he went in the bushes and I didn't see a parked truck. I would have rescued the little palm if I had.

@mommaj ...may be the guy who was placing those palm leaves went to the rest room, and would return shortly...you should have waited to confirm it.
