random thoughts of a redhead

Many things have crossed my mind today...one being how can people get so worked up over this farce of a vote we will be at each other's throats over until November? Another thing I've been thinking a lot about today is how is my education going to benefit me considering that entry level office pay in my area is crap, and I am currently in no position to move or commute for better pay. (I'm a server, healthier job, relatively no difference in pay for stagnating in a cubicle.) Another thing (this thing has been bothering me for days)...I have been dreaming, thust not getting good enough sleep. I barely remember that these dreams have been unpleasant. I wonder if there are any tips to subconsciously conditioning yourself to remember dreams. I also wonder how many other farces we are fed besides these U.S. elections.

if it's any consolation the UK elected a really bad government into office so it's by no means an American thing - politicians are bad globally

we cant really demand how much we want to get paid for what we do, especially when youre a newbie. start small, make it good, let them remember you as a brilliant worker, that crap salary youre saying will go up. of course, your education is your weapon.

You need to drink. You have way too much on your mind. The first topic - see sports fans and why they get all worked up over their team doing anything. Sad state of affairs that the uberlords perpetually promote to keep the masses from keeping their eye on the ball. "Oh! You root for the other guys? I'm gonna beat you stupid!" ("Keep them fighting amongst themselves and they won't notice what we're doing.") Second topic - Are you kidding me???!!! Your edumacation is for the benefit of your already brilliant mind. You can keep this indefinitely and take it everywhere you go. So maybe not this month or year, but somewhere in the future it will be of good/great use to you. There are "methods" for preparing yourself to dream, remember those dreams, etc. I'd post links but you already know how to look that stuff up. And get fresh air into the room you're sleeping in. It just generally helps aid sleeping. And supposedly, the ideal sleeping temperature is 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Other farces? Huge list. From Pearl Harbor to JFK to MLK to September 11th. And so many other, smaller ones nationally (police misconduct) and locally (Flint, MI). And you wonder why your dreams seemed unpleasant. Draw the shades closed, put on your favorite easy music, draw a bath (I'd rather draw a bulldozer), slide in, close your eyes and think of nothing. Just melt away for a couple of hours.

What are you going to school for? At least you might have the opportunity to move up in the ofice position or do some type of transfer. I feel office experience is good to have. Although I know of a lot of servers who make really decent money doing so. Best of luck to you!
