My idols then vs my idols now.

My idols growing up as a kid were Hulk Hogan, Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Bret Favre, Joe Montana, for actors I liked a bunch, but some of my favorites were John Wayne, Alan Alda, John Stamos, John Goodman, Ed O'Neil, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone and, I still like them all. But I don't really have Idols now, if I did though, it would be my parents and, Grandparents.

@TRBRocks420,My parents have always been my ideal. As a child I wanted to be all that attracted me,from a soldier to the prime minister of my country, from a great playback singer to a great hockey player.Soldiers, great political leaders and playback singers and great writers were my ideals then. Now only my parents are my ideals.

My idol would be my grandfather. Sweetest man on earth and everyone in town loved him so much. He gave back all the time and was always at the ready to help someone in need.

These are all celebrity idols. I liked Alan Alda, John Stamos and John Wayne as well. I also liked Catherine Bach, John Schneider and Tom Wopat. There were others but I forget who they are now. I guess you copuld include hte gullah gullah island (OLD t.v. show for kids) crew as well as I loved it when I was like 5-6 years old.

I like everyone you mentioned. I don't know if I have any idols...Michael Jackson was always my idol since I was 11 years old. Nowadays I wouldn't say I have idols. I have many I admire for different reasons though.

We often look elsewhere to have someone to look up to. Who they are today I have no idea. Would have to ask the young people to know. Idols used to be called heroes?
