Why would anyone do that ?

I recently odered a laptop from a e-commerce site . I was eagerly waiting for it and was counting hours and days as to when i would recieve it .
But when that day arrived , i was jumping on my toes on heari g the bell ring . I recieved the package and was opening it hurriedly and to my shock i saw two big stones instead of my laptop .
I had been scammed ..i immediately called customer care and asked them what was this .
They said that the laptop had been sent from their side and the deilvery persons may have done that .
They are looking forward to my complaint . But why would anyone do that ? I have learnt my lesson to never buy gadgets online.

@Lazyblogs I'm just curious , don't the courier service inspect what they are sending? cause here in our country they inspect first before they send

Sad for you that this has happened. I have been buying online since the last 3 years and so far I have had no issues. Hope your complaint will bear results.

@Lazyblogs You should shop through reliable sources. Mine is Amazon in, most of the time and ebay sometimes.

Oops! That is why I don't like buying valuable items online. There was a person I know who was scammed of a new digital camera in such a controversial way and it was never recovered. As long at their at more than one party involved in handling at an item, someone might just switch it into whatever he or she wishes. And that signature you put down on a delivery paper is just a killer on your end. I hope your case will go through well.

Its shocking to know that, as nowadays online shopping is on boom.
I recently purchased mobile worth 25K from flipkart.
I think flipkart and amazon are trusthworthy sites and if you have purchased from any of these two, it should have not happened.

That is awful. What the hell people are upto these day? Thugs, thieves, convicts are everywhere rising. And yet they are free to do all the crimes. I guess your laptop hasn't been sent by the seller. Can you tell me which site you bought the laptop?

yeah very disappointing, I have this discussions the other day. Be careful on buying items at online stores, we have to make sure cause this are all hard earned money were spending.
