I Can't Visit Susie Tomorrow!

United States
March 22, 2016 5:01pm CST
Well as some know I saw a stray last Tuesday! I called animal control and felt so bad about it, but she became available this morning at 10 AM and it appears that she was as adorable as I told you! SHE WAS ADOPTED! It is a bit bitter sweet because @Susan2015 and I were going to visit her tomorrow. I think we may have adopted her if we went there. We can't now though.

I'm glad she found a forever home. Maybe you can find one that you love just as much.

@mommaj We have 2 already! It was a bit of a blessing as we would have struggled to afford 3 dogs.

Sorry that you can't visit her. But, you have provided a family with the opportunity to adopt a wonderful pet.

@Berniezeitler but your heart had plenty of room. I have said the same thing when my husband brought home a kitten 2 years ago. She is part of the family now. Our oldest cat was hit by a car and I miss her terribly. Now that we are down to 2, I wouldn't get another to replace her.

I think it is wonderful that Susie found a forever home that fast. Is there any chance you would be able to contact her new family to see how she's settling in?

You did the right thing and now you will know she has a home to go to. You could have kept her but didn't so don't feel bad about her.

Not sure, but my wife seems to think so-called hunting dogs are let astray on purpose sometimes. Was the dog adopted for hunting purposes? I hope she was adopted as a plain pet.

@KuznVinny The shelter had said her hunting days were over. She was adopted to be a cuddler!

Well at least you know someone adopted her and she's got a good family who will give her lots of love.
