Internet Saga Part 2

So my internet has been out completely for literally the last month even though I have prepaid for the service up until October. I finally was able to get someone out yesterday, and the poor tech spent 3 1/2 hours trying different spots in the house to put the modem to try and get a signal. Was a total fail in the end, sad for me. Now today they are going to come out and see if a satellite on top of the house will pick up signal. I sure hope so. Feels like adding insult to injury that I waste my afternoon AND the internet still wont work. Crossing my fingers thoigh. Its a smallish local and very cheap company which I would totally prefer over a big box company like Comcast. Now I am waiting for the tech to show up again... Anyone else having internet difficulties?

I am confused as to what the problem actually is. Internet connection is usually supplied to the home via the telephone line or cable, so how can the modem location be relevant?

I am not quite sure. But its not cable internet. This compay works in satelite only. So a signal is important?

@Asylum its all done by signal. There are no cables and essentially no router. Just a modem. I guess similar to having a secured wifi? So if it gets no signal you are out of luck. At least that is how they explained it to me i think..

I hope internet connection will be restored soon in your house. I'm not having any internet connection issues lately.
